Affordable Web Hosting Plans
September 3rd, 2008 by Adam
Before I start talking about web hosting and what you should look for, let me say that I host my own sites with Hostgator. So I’m definitely not just “talking the talk”. I actually do use the hosting provider that I sing praises about.
Affordable web hosting should obviously be, well affordable of course. If you are paying more than 14 bucks a month, you are getting ripped off in my opinion. Although if you have a dedicated server or special needs, then by all means this is an exception.
As I mentioned earlier, affordability goes hand in hand with reputable hosting providers such as Lunar Pages and Hostgator. They get great reviews every year and that is something else you should keep in mind. A good hosting company will get great reviews.
Other things to keep in mind when it comes to getting your site a suitable host would include disk space, bandwidth, domain limit, database count, PHP, FTP, cPanel, and a variety of other factors. All of these items are crucial to any successful web hosting business.
We both want the same good service for our site, let’s face it. We want to have a decent price and also have the security and reliability that anyone should expect with a good webhost.
Sticking to the basics is a saying that goes a long way in today’s world. It also rings true when it comes to webhosting. Any fancy features a webhost offers are typically not used by over 99% of people, myself included. Only use what you really need.
